Prabhu Deva in ‘Urumi’ by Santhosh Sivan

Prabhu Deva has been added to the bilingual period drama ‘Urumi’ directed by Santhosh Sivan. ‘Urumi’ is a bilingual in Malayalam and Tamil based on the assassination of Vasco Da Gama. The film is about a group of men, who wanted to assassinate Vasco Da Gama. The tag line of the film is The Boy who wanted to kill Vasco Da Gama. Genelia will play a Portuguese princess in this 15th century period film.

Prithviraj and Genelia are playing the lead roles. Genelia plays a Portuguese princess. Now sources say Prabhu Deva has been added to the cast to do an important role.

Sankar Ramakrishnan, who was one of the directors in Kerala Cafe anthology, has written the script. ‘Urumi’ will also have an abridged English version for an International market say the sources.
